Cleansing and charging your crystals is essential to maintain their vibrancy and effectiveness.
Why do I need to cleanse my crystals?
Everything we touch leaves an energetic imprint. Crystals are alive and very much carry and store the energy from everyone that has held them and the imprint of all of the locations they have travelled through. If you want to work with the crystal, you need to pour your own energy into it and clear any energy that wont work for your intention.
How do I cleanse and charge my crystals?
Whichever you choose to do this, is totally up to you. I always say, do whatever feels right for your practice. One common way is to cleanse your crystal by placing it under running water for a few minutes. Alternatively, you can also cleanse it by smudging it with sage or palo santo smoke to clear away any negative energy.
To charge your crystal, you can place it in direct sunlight or moonlight for a few hours. The light energy will help to recharge the crystal and amplify its properties. Another method is to place your crystal on a piece of selenite or clear quartz for a few hours to infuse it with cleansing and charging energy.
Whichever method you choose, remember to set your intention to clear any negative energy and enhance the crystals' positive properties. Regularly cleansing your crystals will help them stay energetically charged and ready to support you in your spiritual journey.

Another method of charging is to bury your crystals in the earth for a period of time. The earth's energy
can help ground and rejuvenate your crystals. You can also use other crystals, such as clear quartz or Selenite, to amplify and cleanse the energy of your crystals. Simply place your crystals on a larger crystal for a few hours or overnight to charge them.
Additionally, you can use visualisation and intention to charge your crystals. Hold your crystal in your hands, close your eyes, and focus on sending your intentions and energy into the crystal. This way is my favourite, as I feel like i'm putting my own magic and intention into my crystal.
You can also use sound, such as ringing a bell or playing a singing bowl, to cleanse and charge your crystals.
