Sit with Sonya: Becoming Her is a live performance of Sonya's recent written works which have emerged from a period of deep spiritual, emotional, and creative inquiry... and numbness. It was also a period which I recognised and described as feeling soul tired,
The pieces reflect her ongoing relationship with motherhood, womanhood, spiritual practice, intimacy, solitude, responsibility, and self-truth. They explore what it means to carry, to release, to transform, and to become.
At 46, she finds herself in a powerful transitional stage — moving between established mother energy and emerging Crone consciousness — holding both experience and openness, wisdom and curiosity.
